To Build Your LIST…

When you are marketing the number one thing you need to do is to build a list of people who are interested in what you have to offer. In order to build your list online you must have email marketing system.

With an email marketing system you will be able to,

1. design opt-in forms for your blogs, capture pages, web sites or any other place like facebook profile…etc. that you want to have an opt in box.
2. email your list instantly. – this feature will help you to build relationships with your list. You will not have to sit and send emails all day, you can do this easily just by clicking a button.
3. schedule auto responders. – this is a great function where you can let the system run on auto pilot.

There are few things that you need to watch out when you are doing your email marketing.

The main thing is the email deliverability, meaning how many people in your list will receive the email.

Need I say more… if the email is not delivered who will see it?

So, what are the other factors that will affect email deliverability?

1. Your email provider’s reputation with ISP. – Due to this it is important to find a reputable email marketing system. The system I personally use is Aweber and I highly recommend them. Other recommended systems are Getresponse and iContact. These are the recommended systems that I know of, but do your own research.
2. Email content – beware of the spam filters. Some of the trigger words are Free, Make Money, Million, Excessive use of Capital letters and symbols on your subject line… etc,
3. Your web site – Are you blacklisted? – http://www.mxtoolbox.com/ is one of the places that I know to check this.

Ok, going back to the email marketing systems, some of the features that I find useful in Aweber.

1. Excellent video tutorials walking you through how to use the system
2. Can have different lists for different purposes. (for e.g. if you are marketing multiple products you will have different lists)
3. You are able to track the number of clicks
4. Gives a spam score with about your email, so that you’ll be able to correct before sending the email out.
5. Aweber blog with fantastic email marketing tips that you can implement.

Finally, if you do not have an email marketing system in place get one without any delay.
